Grading Process:

Check our Syllabus for each belt’s grading requirements:

Rules for the Grading

  • Students need to show their grading readiness to their instructor prior to the grading period.
If they can show that they know their forms, Self Defences, Kicks, Blocks and other relevant items their instructor will grant them a grading form. They also must meet the minimum class requirement (see our Syllabus for details - class attendance numbers can be checked in Spark).

  • Grading must be booked 2 days prior to the event, failure to do so means you miss out on the event.

  • Grading Forms must also be returned to your instructor or be brought to the grading on the day.

  • All gradings must be booked via the webstore regardless of payment type. Those wishing to pay cash can do so by selecting “phone order”. Booking is essential so we can prepare all the student certificates and belts beforehand.

  • Students MUST be onetime for the grading, being late may mean you are refused entry

  • Students must be in Full UNIFORM including their long sleeve top, failure to have the appropriate uniform may mean you fail

  • Students are required to obtain a minimum pass mark to successfully pass the grading, if you make 3 or more major mistakes for your level in a section (eg during a form), you will have to retest that portion during the grading, if you cannot show improvement you will fail that component and retest at a later date.

  • All required pads are to be brought, for High Blue Belts and above they require full contact gear, goto our Mooto Store to purchase beforehand:
    MOOTO STORE LINK

  • Private Gradings are also available if you cannot make any of the above dates and times, please contact Master John to book - Private Gradings are double the fee and subject to availability in schedule / resources
